FDA Warns Pet Owners About Certain Flea, Tick Medicines

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning pet owners and veterinarians about possible side effects of flea and tick products that contain isoxazoline.
According to the FDA, products containing isoxazoline can have adverse neurologic effects on cats and dogs.
The approved drugs that contain isoxazoline include Bravecto, Credelio, Nexgard and Simparica.
The FDA said while these products can be used safely, pet owners should speak with their veterinarians to determine if the drugs are safe for their pet.
