What features does each Squarespace arrange pricing plan for?
Features
As mentioned above, Squarespace Scheduler is a completely separate tool from the Squarespace website builder. However, it does have a site with Squarespace. So if your business needs a website, an online scheduling tool, and a back-end calendar, we recommend using both.
But what else do you get with each pricing plan?
First, here's what you get with all plans:
A beautiful online calendar with options to list times available for customers to view online.
A customizable scheduling tool that allows customers to make their own appointments.
If you need to collect payment before your appointment, please press the Pay button.
A quick cancel button that allows users to remove something from their schedule and auto-update when you're done.
A tool to share your availability with customers so they know what time is best for you.
Notifications to see when customers book or cancel.
Calendar syncs with popular calendar programs like Office 365, Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud.
Automation features and templates for sending instant email reminders, follow-ups, confirmations, and other real-time messages.
Automated admission forms ensure you stay organized and speed up the registration process before an appointment or class.
Quickly integrate with popular payment processors so you can bill customers before or after an appointment. Squarespace doesn't charge transaction fees, but payment providers have their own credit card processing fees.
Customizable intake form with adjustable fields and branding elements.
Branding of all messages, such as the ability to put your logo on email marketing confirmations, or the option to adjust colors when you send reminders.
Video conferencing optimization, where you can link to popular tools like JoinMe, GoToMeeting, and Zoom. You just insert the link, and customers will receive the link when they receive confirmation and reminder emails. This way, you can instantly speak to them at the right time.
Powerful integrations with apps like Google Calendar, Outlook, Stripe, GoToMeeting, Square, Google Analytics, and more.
A card vault protects and stores payment methods for customers to use at future checkouts.
Customize payment settings, such as the option to accept prompts or recommend add-ons for your next appointment. It's also about subscriptions and memberships, but you'll have to upgrade to get those features.
Here are some tools that aren't necessarily included in every Squarespace plan, but you can choose to get them by upgrading from an emerging plan:

Upsell and promotional pop-ups, such as subscriptions, gift cards, and packages, that customers can add to their cart and purchase before picking up and paying for an appointment.
Send SMS/text notifications to your customers when they are on the go. That way, people can get reminders about meetings on their phones without having to check their emails. Squarespace scheduling allows an unlimited number of texts to be sent to your customers, so you don't have to worry about going over the limit or paying more. It's a great way to provide top-notch customer support.
Support multiple time zones so everyone in your organization can see the time that makes the most sense to them.
CSS and API access for scheduling interfaces with Squarespace. This also helps with more advanced customization of your calendar and notifications.
By partnering with Squarespace. Not every business needs this feature, but Powerhouse plans to include it as an option to keep customer data safe and compliant.
How do you know how many calendars you need?
When Squarespace says you get a certain number of calendars in a pricing plan, they refer to a set of times that customers can book through your business. Therefore, a calendar allows for a set of times. You can have hundreds of hours available on one calendar, and hundreds of customers can book those hours. That is a calendar.
This means that some businesses only need to use one calendar; typically, companies have only a set of rarely-changing times, such as a location and a yoga studio for an instructor.
On the other hand, some businesses require additional calendars for each employee, each location, and even other resources, making it tricky to use just one. This is where the extra calendar comes into play.
Take our previous yoga studio: The business might have three locations, each with five instructors. In this case, the yoga studio may need to provide 3 calendars for each location and 15 calendars for each yoga instructor. However, all business needs are different and this may not be the most efficient way to manage a plan. For example, clients may find it easier to schedule from one calendar per location, so you can simply have all instructors use the same calendar. In this case, you only need three calendars for different locations.
However, there are businesses whose clients absolutely want to make an appointment with a specific employee. Take the therapist's office, for example. An office with five therapists needs to have five calendars so clients can book who they want to talk to.
